Treatment Protocols

For 7 days before and after any Facial Treatment, it is imperative to cease use of all exfoliating skin products of any type, including retinols, Retin-A, AHA/BHA Acid products/serums (glycolic, salicylic, mandelic, etc.), vitamin c, scrubs, toners, and alcohol-based products. 

Avoid direct sun exposure 2 days before and after each Facial Treatment, as skin exfoliation can cause the skin to become more sun-sensitive. An SPF 30 is highly recommended to be used on a daily basis after any Facial Treatment. 

In addition, it is important to allow at least 2 weeks after any cosmetic procedures, including BOTOX, Laser, Dermal Fillers, Permanent Make-up, Micro-blading, Micro-channeling, and Chemical Peels, before having any Facial Treatment. 

Some treatments are not recommended for guests who have certain conditions.  For your safety we require a doctor’s clearance before beginning treatment, particularly in the face of the following:

COVID-19
Cold or allergy symptoms
Congestion, coughing, sneezing
Cancer
Thyroid conditions
Swollen or painful lymph nodes

Infectious skin condition or thrombosis
New injury
Cardiovascular conditions, including pacemaker, high or low blood pressure
Recent surgery
Surgical implants
BOTOX or Fillers within 2 weeks
Open sores

The spa treatments, services and/or facilities received or utilized at Dermal-Care Esthetics & Wellness Centre, are intended for general purposes only and are not intended to be a substitute for professional medical treatment for any condition, medical or otherwise, that Guests may have. Guests will fully indemnify and hold harmless Dermal-Care Esthetics & Wellness Centre, representatives, agents, staff and suppliers, from and against all liabilities, claims, expenses, damages and losses, including legal fees (on an indemnity basis), arising out of or in connection with the spa treatments, services and/or facilities.
